Associate Analyst – Credit Risk Management
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will work on the Sunoco LP Credit Risk Management team reporting to the Senior Manager – Credit Risk Management. The Associate Analyst will be involved in daily credit risk activities, special projects as required, and communication with customers and internal accounting, legal, customer service, and marketing groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow up with existing customers to obtain current credit support documents and financial statements if needed
- Gather documents to prepare credit package for credit review by obtaining and compiling personal/commercial credit reports from credit agencies for Analyst to conduct credit evaluations
- Maintain multiple credit databases to setup customer legal names, parent/child relationships, credit limits, and pay terms
- Complete any credit applications required by suppliers/vendors and provide Sunoco credit references as needed
- Maintain all customer documentation in digital environments such as SharePoint and Smartsheet
- Correspond with customers regarding credit review decisions such as, credit limit/terms increases or reductions
- Provide weekly reporting from Salesforce and credit databases to SUN Credit Management team
- Send out notices to customers for past due invoices and refer to outside legal counsel when necessary to pursue collections
- Track and maintain accounts with outside legal counsel
- Assist Credit Risk team with the management of customer relationships
- Provide miscellaneous reports on an ad hoc basis
- Perform any other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or additional equivalent experience plus 0-2 years of related experience
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Strong verbal and written skills necessary
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to think proactively, multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Salesforce and SAP experience a plus
- Consumer Credit experience a plus
