Assoc Analyst – Credit Risk
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will work in the Sunoco LP Credit Risk Management group reporting to the Senior Manager – Credit Risk Management. The Associate Analyst will be involved in daily credit risk activities, special projects as required, and communication with customers and internal accounting, legal, customer service, and marketing groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and follow up with wholesale customers to obtain current financial statements, expiration dates and request renewal of parent/personal guaranties and any other credit support documents from customers
- Gather documents from prospective dealer to prepare credit package for review
- Compile the financial reports from the credit scoring model database and prepare credit reports package for Analyst to conduct credit evaluations on wholesale customers
- Maintain customers in all databases including credit database with legal names, parent/child relationships, parent/personal guaranties, letters of credit, credit limits and any other credit support documents
- Maintain credit ratings from S&P and Moody’s in databases as applicable
- Complete any credit applications required by suppliers/vendors and provide credit references as needed
- Maintain all customer and dealer documentation in digital environment such as SharePoint
- Maintain secured credit files
- Correspond with customers regarding credit decisions such as, approvals, denials, limit/terms reduction
- Assist with monitoring the accounts receivable aging
- Send out collection notices for past due invoices; follow up with customer by phone; refer to outside legal counsel, when necessary, to pursue collections
- Coordinate and release credit hold and sales in databases
- Field customer calls and assist the Credit team with the management of customer relationships
- Provide miscellaneous reports on an ad hoc basis
- Track and maintain accounts with outside legal counsel or third party collection agencies
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or additional equivalent experience plus 1-2 years of related experience.
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Strong verbal and written skills necessary
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to think proactively, multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency
