Receptionist
This position will welcome, greets visitors, and directs visitors to appropriate staff member. Answers and/or redirects inquiries on the phone and face to face. Quick and prompt handling of phone calls by following telephone etiquette. This position will also provide administrative support when needed. Supporting various departments and executives, this person will need to maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Answer telephones, screen and direct calls, provide information to callers
- Take and relay messages for the company and department
- Greet guests and visitors
- Direct guests to the correct location and/or page the person they are visiting
- Help manage company transportation metro/ woodlands express program
- Submit payroll parking deduction request
- Sorts and handout mail/bids
- Cancels access badges for employees who depart
- Orders company supplies such as badge reels and access badges
- Schedule conference room appointments
- Arrange catering upon request
- Prepare letters, documents, e-mails or correspondences at the request of the department
- Setup employees and contractors with access badges and submit for approval
- Submit work orders for maintenance issues
- Take on projects given from the department
- Responsible for booking and keeping track of company vehicles which includes keeping track of when oil changes are needed, reporting when vehicles needs cleaning, etc
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
- Support and assist traveling executives as needed
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 0-2 years of experience commensurate in a similar role in corporate environment.
- Moderate to Advanced office experience a plus
- Previous corporate office experience preferred
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills required to deal with a diversity of responsibilities and fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure
- Sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and ability to effectively work with changing priorities.
- High ethical standards and ability to function as team player.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple business units while maintaining strict adherence to ethics and confidentiality
- Demonstrates integrity, maturity and respect for others, both internally and externally
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Associate Degree preferred

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
