Summary:


Energy Transfer is looking for a talented and driven Business Analyst to join our Commercial Information and System Management team. As a Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and meaningful technical and business projects in the Energy Transfer unregulated sector. You will be responsible for helping customers access our systems and help implement changes to our core commercial applications.   Additionally, you will be able to use Business Intelligence tools to help departments with data acquisition and modeling.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate internal and external users’ access to core commercial applications.
  • Strive to become a subject matter expert (SME) for Energy Transfers unregulated commercial systems including Quorum’s QPTM system and Ion’s Horizon system.
  • Work closely with Energy Transfer’s unregulated business groups to help understand business challenges and implement solutions leveraging business intelligence tools.
  • Be a champion for process improvements and ideas.
  • Be a team and project leader for undertaking application implementations and upgrades.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Quorum QPTM or Ion Horizon applications a plus.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge SQL and VBA.
  • Travel 10% of the time.
  • Weekend and night work required 20% of the time.

 

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

 

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
