Summary:
This position works within the Transformation and Integration Department of Corporate Accounting.  This department is tasked with moving our Accounting Group from a Data Mining Model to a Technology Driven Model allowing us to provide value to other departments by focusing on analysis and timely ad hoc reporting.  This is done by identifying manual effort in data gathering and manipulation and working with accounting teams to move manual effort to automated solutions.  Additionally, we coordinate the needs of the Accounting Group with regards to mergers and acquisitions ensuring timely and efficient transition of data and process in a timely manner. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in project planning sessions with business leaders and project team members
  • Coordinate meetings between project stakeholders, IT, and/or third parties in ad-hoc or cadence sessions to ensure project timeline integrity
  • Assist with managing the project plan, project schedule, risk and issues logs and status reports
  • Facilitate productive meetings by ensuring engagement from attendees, preparing necessary support documentation, and following up with meeting notes and action items
  • Following up on pending project tasks or issues and escalate for resolution with an action plan where necessary
  • Manage, engage, and collaborate with cross functional teams for project closure
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously within the project life cycle
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge and understanding of accounting systems and data transformation applications and introduce users to new functionality
  • Create presentations to onboard cross-functional teams with a unified vision and address key points of the transformational initiative
  • Develop and deploy wide-ranging departmental communications, change management and training tactical plans to ensure employee adoption and satisfaction with organizational changes as well as keeping people updated on the departments progress towards its goals
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems or related field
  • Lead Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job-related experience
  • Senior Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience
  • Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience
  • Associate Analyst requires bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience
  • Understanding the project life cycle from project creation to project closure
  • Exposure to departmental communications and change management principles, approaches, tools and techniques to properly disseminate the information for the desired outcome
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence others towards a common goal or vision
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with project managers, business owners and all levels of management, as well as thrive in a cross functional environment
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP software + project management tools and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Jira, SharePoint, Visio, SmartSheets, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Accounting Software solutions with emphasis on SAP
  • Experience with Data Analytics tools (Like Alteryx, Redwood, UI Path, Power BI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of RightAngle, Apttus, SAP, Enfos, Quorum is helpful
  • Knowledge of VBA programming

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions. 
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required. 
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
