This is an eleven (11) week internship program starting in May 2024.  You must be enrolled in college during the program 

– Location Newton Square OR Marcus Hook, PA

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Interns for our summer program to join our team! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The main objective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in the design, construction, and integration of automated processing equipment for Butane Blending at fuel loading terminals with opportunity for exposure to project work on pipelines and pumping stations for the transmission of refined product.
  • Responsibilities will vary with location but may include preliminary site evaluation, process system design review, hazard and operability review, equipment sizing, project scheduling, procurement support, contracting and construction oversight and site acceptance testing.
  • Some of the activities we would have them participate in for our group could include:

    -              Attend design review meetings. Redline drawings from meeting comments.

    -              Attend PHAs

    -              Attend initial site visits and support Geotech/soil boring/survey work

    -              Attend permit meetings with regulatory agencies with PMs

    -              Support FAT & SAT – check P&IDs, take pictures, spot check MTRs, etc.

    -              Site construction check-in visits – take pictures, check drawings, etc.

    -              Make first pass at creating BOM (PM will then review). Submit material requisitions.

    -              Review and comment on drawing packages

    -              Review construction bids and create bid tabs

    -              Make first pass at hydraulic spreadsheets & equipment sizing

    -              Support department improvement efforts (in conjunction with the E&I group)

 Required Skills:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of Sophomore level engineering courses.
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals.
  • Involvement in activities outside college studies
  • Above average GPA
  • Willingness to travel.

Preferred classification: Junior or Senior

Additional Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, good time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and initiative
  • Proficiency with MS office
