SummaryThis position works in the Contract Administration Group reporting to the Contract Administration Supervisor. The Administrator - Contract Compliance position is key to ensuring that the daily trade deals and fuel retention percentages, negotiated by the capacity traders, are entered in QPTM each day and reviewed daily and monthly for accuracy.  The Administrator must communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment on matters relating to systems, contracts, paths and rates.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter all daily/monthly natural gas transportation rates into Quorum Pipeline Transportation Module (QPTM) based on capacity trader’s deal sheet.  This is a daily process.
  • Manage transportation confirmations.  This involves comparing QPTM confirmation to the capacity trader deal sheet and ensuring that customer receives confirmation.  This is a daily process.
  • Review daily/monthly nominations to ensure that the nominations match the deal sheet and that the correct contract is used.  This is a daily process.
  • On a monthly basis, review volume allocation report to ensure that all volume is invoiced.  This involves comparing the allocation report to the customer invoices.
  • Draft transportation contracts for daily/monthly transactions and circulate for execution.
  • Set contracts up in QCM.  Then, in QPTM, add applicable receipt and delivery points and rates so that customers can enter their on-line nominations.
  • Research and resolve unbilled volumes prior to customer invoicing.  This involves interaction with the customer, Scheduling and Volume Accounting, requiring analytical skills on the part of the Rate Analyst.
  • Interface with Capacity Traders and Gas Scheduling group on a daily basis.
  • Interface with shippers (customers) on a daily basis.  Customer interaction is primarily done by phone or e-mails.  This involves alerting the customer as to which contract to nominate their gas on and adding additional receipt/delivery points to the contract that could be the result of a late deal that is not yet entered on the deal sheet.
  • Research meter activity for Scheduled Maintenance and Force Majeure occurrences then draft and send letters to affected customers.
  • Meet SOX requirements as established for this position.
  • Other contract administration duties as needed.
  • On call biweekly rotation - after-hours, weekend, and some holiday work is required.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Degree in  Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Customer service experience.
  • Aggressive research ability required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in high-stress environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with various groups internally and externally.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Gas Industry experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
