In this role you will be responsible for a portfolio of Fuel Stations ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and maintaining and growing customer relationships. The position of Area Account Manager is a key contributor of the sales and operations team. This position is the face of Sunoco LP. It will require an entrepreneurial attitude and a passion for customers. You will be meeting with customers daily, understanding and solving their challenges, working with them to improve their business and growing Sunoco’s footprint across Texas. The ideal candidate will enjoy meeting our business partners face to face and embody Sunoco’s values with a solution-oriented mindset. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represents Sunoco LP, and its portfolio of brands, products and services with credibility and integrity. Acts as a business advisor, consultant and credible source of industry and market knowledge. Understands and can communicate the Sunoco LP strategy, Communicates strengths, weaknesses, and recommended adjustments to management as necessary.

• Provides the highest standards of professionalism pertaining to in-person, phone and email etiquette, responding to each in a prompt and timely manner.

• Develops, manages and strengthens equitable business relationships with Sunoco LP customers, including dealer/distributorship owners, principles, and key decision makers.

• Effectively communicates to existing and potential customers the value proposition of fuel products, supply and value-added programs.

• Establishes productive and professional relationships both with customers and cross-functional teams including legal, financial analysis, pricing, credit, contract administration, supply, and advertising/marketing departments.

• Advocates for our customers, dedicated to understanding their concerns and appropriately addressing each.

•Collaborates with other departments to resolve customer concerns satisfactorily for both the customer and the company.

• Ensures compliance with SunocoLP and partner brand programs such as brand image standards, loyalty programs, advertising campaigns.

• Effectively utilizes technology, programs, platforms (i.e. Salesforce, Tableau, Concur, etc.) for all phases of the sales process.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The

requirements for this position are listed below:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

• 5 - 8 years years of experience

• 1+ years minimum experience account management preferred

• Strong communication skills both personal and through correspondence

• Strong Microsoft Suite skills: Word, Excel, Outlook

• Experience managing a project from beginning to end

• Highly organized and holds a timeline-oriented mindset

• Experience with Salesforce preferred

• Experience in the petroleum industry preferred

• Travel 50% of the time, some overnight
