Position Summary:
The Senior Level - Human Resources/Organizational Development & Learning is responsible for supporting organizational development, performance management, and overall employee development initiatives across the organization. This position assists with developing and leading programs aimed at identifying and developing talent at all levels in the organizations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support and lead the following Organizational Development initiatives:
- Lead in the creation, enhancement, and implementation of performance management systems, process and tools.
- Plan, develop and execute employee and leadership development programs.
- Provide guidance and direction for employee development programs to identify high potential leaders and establish a fully integrated talent pipeline.
- Lead program and project management efforts for all Organization Development and Learning initiatives.
- Support and lead activities critical to building the company’s Learning strategy and programs.
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with functional leaders and key stakeholders in order to have an ongoing understanding of how learning and development initiatives can best meet business needs and objectives.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with third-party providers, industry groups and other external partners and leverage relationships to enhance learning or creative solutions offered to employees.
- Ensure appropriate processes for quality control of all programs within scope of responsibility.
- Responsible for team leadership, resource planning and budgeting department resources.
- Demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company’s ethics code of conduct and other company policies and procedures.
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.
- Ten (10) years directly related experience.
- Diverse background in Human Resources preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of the following tools and concepts:
- Organizational development – aligning people, programs and strategy; organizational effectiveness, process design/redesign, efficiency and impact measures and organizational design.
- Change management - communication plans, readiness assessments, stakeholder analysis, training plans, etc.
- Succession planning – identification and development of high potential talent and employee/leadership development plans.
- Team development – lead/facilitate and design team interventions to: (1) align teams with organizational and team objectives, (2) better understand team member preferences and strengths, communication and leadership styles, problem solving, conflict resolution and (3) build trust and cohesion.
- Learning – knowledge and application of adult learning concepts and principles when designing training and development programs.
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal and presentation/facilitation. Ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas and concepts.
- Ability to lead and design change initiatives.
- Experience facilitating team sessions and/or meetings in order to influence effective decision making, problem solving or team building.
- Experience with workplace assessments such as DiSC, TKI, Strengths Finders, etc.
- In-depth understanding of workplace dynamics and experience recommending and facilitating effective responses and interventions to address employee, leadership or team issues.
- Applies creativity and innovation to implement solutions, produce documents, presentations and training materials.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations in a positive manner.
- Ability to influence leaders and employees at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to rapidly build rapport and trust with peers within Human Resources and across the organization.
- Strong project & program management skills.
- Effective partner with consultants and vendors to design and deliver programs.
- Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Ability to operate a personal computer and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Working Conditions:
• Works non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines
• Works indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office
• Travel expected around 20%
