Sr Analyst– Intrastate Regulatory Affairs
Provides analyst support for rate filings, regulatory filings, and related studies for the Company’s intrastate gas pipelines, regulated gas gathering systems and common carriers before various agencies including but not limited to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Railroad Commission of Texas, the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, and Mexico’s Comisión Reguladora de Energía.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following skill sets on a satisfactory basis:
- Compiles and analyzes financial and statistical data related to plant facilities, and depreciation, and cost center definition.
- Prepares exhibits for filings and hearings before the applicable regulatory agency including but not limited to those regulatory agencies listed above.
- Compiles and analyzes financial and statistical data related to operation and maintenance expenses, taxes and financial returns
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 - 8 years of experience in accounting, regulatory affairs or in related areas
- Strong knowledge and use of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word as well as exposure to SAP and similar accounting systems.
- Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use the same in inter-departmental teams.
- Familiarity with the FERC Chart of Accounts as outlined in 18 CFR.
- Strong analytical skills and must possess the ability to be a self-starter.

- Usually, normal office working conditions with occasional overtime due to filing and project deadlines.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel will be required.
