Summary:
The candidate will work as part of the Operations Technical Training team and will provide training and instructional design support in the creation of computer-based training (CBT) modules, training presentations, and graphics primarily, but not exclusively, in support of our Terminal Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide training development and instructional design support which may include:
- Collaborate with company personnel and internal SMEs to assess training needs and develop learning materials to achieve desired outcomes
- Nurture and develop relationships across our offices
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects that may vary in scope and involve needs analysis, solution design and development
- Brainstorm with department personnel and SMEs to build appropriate training strategies and create design documents for the proposed solution
- Script storyboards to ensure all content meets our client's standards
- Build knowledge checks and exams
- Develop app simulations using Articulate or similar software(s)
- Consolidate review comments from SMEs and reviewers, and incorporate all changes
- Build knowledge checks and exams
- Coordinate with graphic designers to develop engaging and effective videos
- Ensure existing training content remains fresh, relevant and top of mind for users
- Address ad hoc requests for graphic design support for mailers, newsletters, job-aids/quick reference guides
- Administer and assign Operation and Operation Services courses in the company electronic learning management system
- Support other Operations Technical Training support activities assigned by management
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor's degree or additional equivalent experience and two (2) to five (5) years related work experience in the energy industry
- Minimum of two (2) years working in or with bulk storage terminals or similar operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Success Oriented – Does not confuse activity with results
- Personal Accountability – Can be counted on
- Accomplishes tasks in a timely manner and on a consistent basis
- Good communicator and detail oriented
- Ability and passion for assembling, producing, and publishing content in learning management and content management platforms
- Valid driver’s license is required
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
- The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
- Proficient in Adobe Suite products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
- Visual design skills with Articulate Storyline or other design tool(s)

- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
