Summary:
The Project Manager performs activities necessary to manage the field execution of well workovers, leaching programs, and day to day Pipeline and Operations construction projects. The project manager will provide construction management, including scoping, bidding and evaluating proposals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and prepare scopes, estimates and work offers for the tear down of wells prior to work overs.
- Prepare material requisitions and specifications for the purchase of material for projects.
- Complete job/safety plans, MOCs and PSSRs and review with team members at various milestones during projects.
- Provide direction and monitor Company and third party contractors during all phases of well work overs.
- Prepare weekly reports on project activity, track project cost and schedule and report to Management, Engineering and Commercial/Scheduling.
- Review as-built drawings upon completion of projects and turn over job books.
- Coordinates with Specialists, Operations (Team, Managers, and Directors), PL Control, Commercial, Scheduling and Customers to reduce or eliminate any outages to customers on projects.
- Assist Operations and Maintenance with upcoming pipeline and terminal project support with design reviews, redline drawings, PHA’s, procedures, MOC closeout, C&E updates, PSSRs, etc for successful startup.
- Coordinate maintenance activities as new assets are brought online by entering into SAP and adding them to the preventative maintenance program for both DOT and PSM facilities.
- Help mandate new requirements per corporate or safety at the field level, experience in maintenance management or SAP a plus.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent 8+ years experience in Salt Dome Storage, Liquid Pipeline (DOT195), Construction Management or Maintenance/Planning Coordination
- Ability to review, understand, and interpret PIDs, Sonars, survey data, industry and regulatory codes and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and prepare technical documents such as procedures, MOCs, status reports, variance reports, work plans, maintenance plans or documents, etc.
- Possess general computer literacy and ability to utilize Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of oil and gas engineering principals, standards and specifications and industry and regulatory rules and regulations including API 520/521, 49 CFR Parts 195 (liquid pipelines), API 653 (above ground storage tanks), plus other industry, standards, guidelines and codes is preferred
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations/guidelines is desired
- Experience with process simulation software, particularly as pertains to midstream oil & gas industry
- Relevant oil/gas engineering experience and practical application of engineering principals preferred.
- Interpersonal skills - high degree of interaction with a variety of groups from environmental, engineering, operations and maintenance
- Team-oriented and self-directed. Has the ability to be proactive rather than reactive.

- Field and office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
