Intern - Environmental Midland

Position Summary
We are looking for motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Environmental Interns for our summer program to join our team!
The main objective for each intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in air quality and regulatory compliance for a wide range of natural gas pipelines and facilities.
Responsibilities may include review of current federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations that impact natural gas gathering and transmission facilities, assessment of facility’s compliance with authorizations, interaction with operations, engineering and other environmental staff; and field visits to facilities in the west Texas region.
This is an eleven (11) week internship program starting in May 2024. You must be enrolled in college during the program
Required Education, Skills & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements include:
· Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program majoring in a science or engineering discipline and a minimum completion of Sophomore level courses
· Self-motivated individuals with involvement in activities outside college studies
· Must possess a strong willingness to learn
· An above average GPA
Preferred Qualifications
· Proficiency with MS Office and Excel
· Willing to travel
· Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent attention to details
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
· Ability to work as a team player effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization
