Perform Skilled Mechanical duties involving operations, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing
natural gas engines, compressors, generators and other power driven equipment.Inspect engines, compressors and mechanical equipment: diagnose problems and
determine extent of necessary repairs; perform repairs and routine preventative maintenance.Overhaul, repair and adjust engines, compressors, pumps, motors.
Maintenance and repair of ignition systems, carburetion equipment, fuel injection
systems and emissions control systems.Detailed awareness of compressor components including: lubrication systems, shutdown systems, loading and unloading valves, pistons, valves and electrical systems.
Maintain compressor logs, engine hours, diaries, oil sampling and inventories of parts, equipment, lube oils and coolants.
General upkeep of facilities and equipment including: engines/compressors, company vehicle and shop
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:- High School Diploma or equivalent
At least six years of experience of practical, mechanical, experience working on rotating equipment
Proven experience with Caterpillar G3300, G3400, G3500, G3600 Waukesha 7042 and 7044 engines, Ariel, Gemini, Dresser Rand and Superior compressors.
Proven experience with various pumps, fans and motor repairs including repair, alignment and replacement.
Ability to assume & perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions
Have knowledge of safety rules and practices and a very good safety record.
Have proven mechanical aptitude and make decisions and corrections when problems are detected.
Good organizational skills, good customer relations skills, and a record of very positive work performance
Proven knowledge of safety and operations
Read and understand repair manuals, procedures and standards
Maintain and adhere to required Company Training, Company Policies and Procedures
Have a history of being dependable& reliable.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications preferred.
Work well with others and also be able to perform work independently.
Vocational Tech certificates or equipment specific training preferred
- Ability to train other employees

- Must have a good driving record.
Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment
Work extended hours as required in emergencies, on projects or outages. This position will require overtime, weekends, nights, holiday and on-call schedule

• Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
