Director - Engineering
• Perform Skilled Mechanical duties
involving operations, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing natural gas
engines, compressors, generators and other power driven equipment.
• Inspect engines, compressors and mechanical equipment: diagnose problems and
determine extent of necessary repairs; perform repairs and routine preventative
maintenance.
• Works with various pumps, fans and motor repairs Including repair, alignment
and replacement Maintenance and repair of ignition systems, carburetion
equipment, fuel injection systems and emissions control systems
• Detailed awareness of compressor components including: lubrication systems,
shutdown systems, loading and unloading valves, pistons, valves and electrical
systems.
• Maintain compressor logs, diaries, oil sampling and inventories of parts,
equipment, lube oils and coolants.
• General upkeep of facilities and equipment including: engines/compressors,
company vehicle and shop
• Able to support existing on call schedule, some overtime is required.
• Must be team oriented, self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety,
operational, and environmental policies
• Upkeep and replacement of pipeline valves, actuators, pumps required
• Knowledge of liquid handling equipment, pigging facilities required
• Read and use drawings and schematics, including Mechanical, Electrical,
Pneumatic and P&ID.
• Maintains records for required state, federal and company procedures.
• Actively contributes as a member of the project crew, providing and
supporting the training of other members
• Attends, participates and complies with company safety programs and policies
Successful Candidate must reside
within a 25 mile radius of the reporting location
• High school graduate
• Must provide and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving
record
• Candidate will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test, and
will adhere to and is subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and
Alcohol related regulations, and will be subject to a background check.
• Previous work experience – minimum of 2 years
• Good organizational skills, good customer relations skills, and a record of
very positive work performance.
• Read and understand equipment repair manuals and procedures
• Associates Degree in Natural Gas or
Commensurate Experience.
• Proven experience with Caterpillar 3500, 3600 & G16CM34 series engines,
Ariel JGC/D, JGT, KBB compressors.
• Knowledge of DOT 192 as it pertains to required testing and documentation for
pipelines and compressor stations
• Experience performing maintenance and repair on natural gas engines,
compressors and associated equipment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and CAT ET
• Familiar with EPA Quad Z, Quad J and Quad O requirements and reporting
