Analyst - ROW
Summary: Assist with Right of Way activities for assigned region.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain, update, and organize the ROW tract files for new and existing projects and provide information to agents for those tracts that are not within the existing database.
- Utilize, update and maintain ROW database(s), appropriate file documentation and retention software, and run reports.
- Input data into the ROW database from the permanent ROW tract files.
- Be able to locate, read and interpret easements, deeds, agreements, leases or licenses requested by outside companies, agencies or company individuals.
- Follow provided strategies for successful ROW document management including recognizing and anticipating obstacles and mitigating and resolving problems.
- Participate in pipeline ROW due diligence efforts on acquisitions and divestitures.
- Organize, track and facilitate execution of documents for signature by assuring authorized signature for each company entity.
- Draft and disseminate reports, projects documents and other documents for internal and external recipients.
- Assist Manager with overseeing and managing day-to-day operations of the office, including interfacing with other departments and employees.
- Serves as a Notary Public and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills & abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- A high school diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of related experience in right-of-way or in a similar field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand and prepare technical documents such as easements, leases, licenses, etc.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word
- Honesty and high ethical standards are paramount in the representation of the company and the interests of individual landowners.
- Excellent organization skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong Interpersonal skills - high degree of interaction with a variety of groups from field construction personnel, vendors and internal personnel (environmental, engineering, operations).
- Must be team-oriented and self-directed.
Preferred Qualifications: Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Texas Notary preferred
- Experience with database applications (SAP, CLS) and GIS applications.
