PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, performs record keeping involving maintaining the daily Convenience Stores and Operators, Resellers financial records. In addition, is responsible for the accurate entries of fuel related transactions including deliveries, sales and daily inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Verify and reconcile all information received electronically from C Stores, Operators and Reseller stations
- Enter all Fuel sales and Credit Card transactions with Operators and Resellers to ensure correct settlement is made.
- Communicate necessary information to our staff who are involved in preparing and reconciling ACH transactions with our Operators & Resellers
- Respond to telephone inquiries from C Stores, Operators & Resellers
- Establish and maintain efficient filing and records retention of financial and other important documents
- Responsible for other duties such as ordering bank deposit slips for C-Stores from our Vendor
- Compile C-Store and Operator sales and volume information for reporting purposes.
- Compile physical count information from auditors and enter into system to update merchandise inventory.
- Import sales data and load into system for Save-A $ billing purposes.
- Review and reconcile store vendor statements to ensure proper payment of invoices
- Change fuel prices for two cardlocks as authorized by the pricing team.
- Report QSR sales for royalty and advertising fees.
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations as assigned.
- Prepare monthly same store sales and volume report
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of modern office method, practices, procedures, and equipment
- Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of financial record keeping and method of performing basic business math calculations
- Knowledge of clerical methods, techniques, forms, and filing systems used in an accounting environment
- Knowledge of basic accounting terminology, codes, and formats
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
- Ability to post data and make arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy
Education/Training:
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting preferred.
Experience:
- At least 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis work.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Demonstrates independent judgment in dealing with work flow and uncertain situation.
- Good ability to interact well with all levels or employees, customers and management
