Summary:
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, monthly close process, invoicing, journal entries, flux analysis, and account reconciliations. The position will need to be filled with a flexible and personable individual who will be able to complete requests from various departments in the company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries
- Calculate and post monthly invoices based upon contract terms
- Gather and provide explanations for monthly flux analysis
- Prepare account reconciliations, identifying and explaining significant outstanding items
- Opportunity to participate in special project assignments
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit process as requested
- Support all departments with various project requests
- Ensure compliance to all relevant SOX controls
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
- Requires 2 to 5 years of work experience in accounting
- SAP knowledge a plus
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
- Sound understanding of accounting practices and principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and work independently
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organization skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods to meet deadlines
- Must adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior when carrying out job responsibilities
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
